Rihanna (RiRi) x MAC Cosmetics

MAC Cosmetics inks a longterm deal with Grammy award-winning singer and fashion designer, Rihanna! Calling it a creative agreement based on mutual respect and admiration, the this is the first time the beauty giant is entering a long term commitment as not 1 or 2, but 4 collections are announced to make their online and beauty counter debut this year.

RiRi Woo is the 1st cosmetic product that will make its debut, inspired by Rihanna’s favorite color MAC’s Ruby Woo, the lippy will be released on ( save the date ) May 4th! For this special occasion, MAC Cosmetics is opening a pop-up at Barclays Center in Brooklyn New York as this is also the night of RiRi’s “Diamond Tour”.

The award-winning multi-talented beauty says she’s been using the brand for such a long time while on the road, that this step for her isn’t more than a logical one.

The four collections will roll out all through 2013. The signature of the announced collections will be the RiRi Woo lipstick which will be included in all four collections. For the summer collection the creatives ( they don’t like to call it a collab this time…) are rolling out two additional lipsticks. a powder blush duo and summery lustre drops.

Hands on involved with creating all colors, textures, packaging and looks for this collection, the fall 2013 collection includes a lipglass, false lashes, 4 new lipsticks and 2 eye-shadow palette’s. Ten more items are planned for the holidays such as an exclusive nail laquer and a ‘bad gal’ RiRi make-up bag.

Renowned photographers duo Alas and Piggott already  shot the ad campaign for the holiday and fall collection. The shoot which took place in the last week of January is however still under wraps.
