The unique nightclub Le Showcase, under the Champs Elysées Pont Alexandre III bridge, with its combination of neon shifting colors and historical architectural decor, Julien Fournié certainly chose the perfect venue for his spring summer 2012 haute couture nightclub collection galore.
Young, hot and fresh, a collection in collaboration with Fashionlab explored new lines using the advanced technology of 3D printing. Transparent inserts, sheer tops and blouses, printed dots, ultra short shorts with a zipper running from the front to the back.
Faso dan Fani ( a cotton fabric unique to Burkina Faso ), metallic yarns, silk crepe and neoprene. The matte silk zibeline adding structure and extra dimension contouring the body lines.
High waisted futuristic shorts, bandage mini’s and zippered hemlines, flowers and sexy legs wearing high heels prints. Long gowns with high slits and straight cut shift dresses with bell sleeves. Julien showed surgical cuts and lots of bright colors ranging from yellow, orange, gradations of pinks, silver and purple metallics.
With hair flower ornaments, laboratory safety eyewear and fresh dewy make-up looks, the couturier accentuated the pleasures of the female skin. Freedom from the traditional couture ‘guidelines’, appealing physiques without any taboos.
Invited by Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, guest member Julien Fournié showed a revealing collection on the nightclub runway.
