NYFW: Katya Leonovich S/S12
Energetic, American football inspired, creative and artistically hand painted prints on silk. Katya Leonovich showed strong with confidence, presenting 17 female looks with models standing in front her own American football primary colored paintings. Combining fashion, art and sports for her new spring summer 2012 collection. From laser cut out leather jackets, colorful draped skirts and dresses to denim patchworks, leather fringed dresses and shorts. Taking a look beyond, the Russian born designer showed organized in an upon first sight chaotic world. Her couture background was seen in the techniques and use of fabrics, Katya’s music choice serene. A fun contrast with her bold dynamic collection during New York’s fashion week.
